Bobby Petrino Fired by Arkansas

Several sources close to the Razorbacks program have confirmed that Bobby Petrino has been fired by Arkansas Athletic Director Jeff Long.

Long will address the media at 8:15 PM ET to announce the latest decision by the University of Arkansas.

It was speculated that Petrino would be let go after being placed on paid leave, and after the recent surfacing of events that took place, including lying to authorities about Jessica Dorrell, fans and media thought that it was only a matter of time.

Next up for Arkansas, finding a coach to step in and keep the train rolling. The Razorbacks ascended as high as No. 3 last year, and looked to be in contention for the SEC Championship again this year. In four years under Petrino the Razorbacks were 34-17.
